My Top 10 Games in the Apple Arcade

Find My Top 10 Games in the Apple Arcade

10. Spek (RAC7 Games)

A simple, relaxing game of geometry, Spek is about moving a black dot over a movable line to find a square, sometimes in an Escher-like space. I see this slow offer playing in an aeroplane or before going to sleep. When I come back, I hope that the ambient music will be more varied.

9. Cricket Through The Ages (Devolver Digital)

This crazy look at cricket history contains characters that are hard to control, almost as if they have no muscles. You start in the age of the cave man and you go through the world war, all with cricket themes. "Cricket Through the Ages" is a Monty Python-like mission with the queen as a guest star. I came back and played more than an hour. I thought it would be old, but it wasn't yet.

8. Jenny LeClue - Detectivu (Mografi)

It is a murder story in the process story of a writer in a visual novel. You meet Jenny LeClue for the first time in the city of Twins Peaks-like city of Arthurton. The glasses wearing redhead floss the teeth and miss one, and that immediately appealed to me. The pace here is fast enough and the dialogue often wins. This game is made for young adults, but I am coming back to solve every crime, including Jenny, 'the world's greatest detective'.

7. ChuChu Rocket! Universe (Sega Hardlight)

An update for a promised Sega Dreamcast game, this shows mice that have been shot into space via rockets. You bring them back to their rockets via devious grids that the rodents must navigate. "ChuChu Rocket" can be a brain teaser and split synapse. But it is also a must-play.

6. Assemble With Care (ustwo Games)

Supported by a sincere sounding voice actor, "Assemble With Care" is a small, prose-heavy game with a young woman traveling in Italy. She repairs telephones and cameras and observes the whims of human nature. Although the people are not unique enough, the story of empowerment is one of which I want to hear more. Is there a twist or something deeper here?

5. The Pinball Wizard (Frosty Pop)

In "The Pinball Wizard", you throw around a childlike wizard / ball. He spits out baby-like non-words while hitting goals and benches around a playing field to advance to more challenging tables. The pinball control can sometimes get stuck in the up position in this dungeon-track / pinball machine. First, it doesn't save your games early. Power-filled, it's a new riff on the old game, and I'll have a lot more playing (already).

4. Neo Cab (Fellow Traveller/Chance Agency)

It is dialogue-heavy science fiction or the person-against-technology variety. You play Lina, a driver who picks up the rates and starts to unravel the evil of a mega company. There is a deep depth in the relationships here from the beginning, partly because of the facial expressions that remind me of the interview parts in the L.A. of Rockstar Games. Noire, except at a less detailed level.

3. Rayman Mini (Ubisoft Montpellier/Pastagames)

This jewel from Ubisoft seems like the word "delicious!" "Rayman Mini" starts in a lush environment with streams and waterfalls. The cute, eponymous character is about the size of a puffy dandelion seed head. The variety of peppy music with on-helium vocals makes almost every part of Rayman a pleasure to play. One thing that is hard to do: turn the character and go back. Other than that, bravo.

2. Grindstone (CapyGames)

There is a heavy touch of "Candy Crush" here, but Grindstone lacks the vile micropayments. Like a Conan-like brute chain your monsters together for murders. Although clues come and go too quickly on the playing field, I feel that Grindstone could really hook me.

1. Sayonara Wild Hearts (Annapurna/Simogo)

If you find something extraordinary, you want to tell everyone. "Sayonara Wild Hearts" hooked me up immediately. The pure Japanese doll, the lively, carefully created art style, the fast, panicky speed on a motorcycle, the moving story - combine all these things for a game you never want to put down. That's because it takes place in the country that you want it to be.
