UFC 244: 5 Facts You Need to Know

UFC 244: 5 things you need to know about the Saturday card

There were several potential hiccups leading up to this point, but we achieved the UFC 244 card with all fights intact. The main event between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal is disputed for the "BMF" belt, which is still pretty ridiculous, but whatever.

These are the 5 things you need to know about UFC 244.

1 # Start Time

Prepare to be up for a while if you’re going to watch this one all the way through. The main card probably won’t conclude until well after midnight.

Early Prelims - 6:30 pm ET
Mid-Level Prelims - 8 pm ET
Main Card - 10 pm ET

2 # Viewer info

Early Prelims - ESPN + or UFC Fight Pass
Mid Level Prelims - ESPN 2
Main card - ESPN + PPV

3 # Nate Diaz has been deleted

Last week MMA fans and UFC officials had their hearts in their throats. USADA had adverse findings in a drug sample submitted by Diaz. It turned out that the result was quickly attributed to an infected supplement and that Diaz was allowed to compete while he was also acquitted or committed misconduct.

4 # Darren Till Made It

The co-main event was hit with some controversy, but we weighed it. Barring something unforeseen in the hours prior to the event, it should pass without any problems.

We were not so sure about that a few days ago when Darren Till had not yet arrived in New York. The Liverpool resident had some visa issues, but that was eventually resolved.

5 # Donald Trump will be on hand

The president of the United States will be present for this event. It is unclear whether he will climb the Octagon. Trump and Dana White have history and the first have different ties to combat sport.

There is a prop bet around the response that Trump will receive from the crowd at Madison Square Garden when he is shown on the big screen.

Oddsmakers say he will be booed, according to BetOnline.
